November is Gratitude Month~!

Well - Greg is off to MN/WI for a hunting trip!  Ally, her boyfriend Kyle and I leave on Wednesday to spend the thanksgiving holiday with my family.  Jessica will be driving (8 hours ) up from the reservation.

I am grateful that TIP's big Heroes with Heart event was a huge success!  I'm so glad it's over and went so well. We could not of done it without the help of some great people - espeically Danielle!

As I anticipated, with the Heroes event over - it is hard not to obsess about what lies ahead.  I'm trying to stay positive.  Only a few major break downs so far!  Like when I got my new phone and I couldn't  figure out how to use the touch screen - which was the cause of a major emotional,  tear-filled morning last week.

My Vitamin D bloodwork came back with no suprise that I am WAY low.  So now its 5,000 IU's a day so I can get my number up to 65 from 25, hopefully before surgery.  I continue to see my counselor and that is helping, along with my al-anon family that has been a huge support for 23 years.

So - my pre-op appointment is Tuesday afternoon the 24th.  We return from MN on Monday the 30th, I have some final tests done on Tuesday, December 1st and Surgery is Wednesday the 2nd.  I will be at the Gresham Surgery Center for the operation and will be home that afternoon.  Then we just wait for pathology results.  Greg does know how to update this blog and has agreed to leave a post right after surgery.

Thank you for your continued prayers, positive thoughts and good wishes!

Love to all!
June

Hi June,

You were so busy at the Heroes with Heart, but you DID an AMAZING job and your speech was very touching, especially considering everything you have going on in your life. Just know that our family is praying for YOU, but if there is something I can do to help you, please let me know...or maybe I will just call you after surgery to see how you are. You have been such an inspiration to me and such an encouragement. Just want you to know you are very loved, appreciated and cared for! Get some rest!

Love to YOU!

Lisa Pearson and Scott

Thank you for the invitation to the auction and dinner!

June-
I check the blog regularly, and keep you in my thoughts. Whether you're conscious of it or not, everything you share is a demonstration of the third step prayer in action. I am grateful for your generosity of spirit. Jayna

I offer myself to you to build with me and do with me as you will. Relieve me of the bondage of self that I may better do thy will. Take away my difficulties that victory over them may bear witness to those I would help, of your power, your love, your way of life. May I do thy will always.

June, My thoughts and prayers are with you now and in each of your moments ahead. I pray that you and your family feel the comfort that each of you deserve in this time of not knowing and then getting answers and beginning to understand them in a daily process. Not knowing can be hard and knowing can be hard as you have already experienced.

June,
It helps me pray to know the specific upcoming dates. I came across a website that you might find interesting and uplifting. Nicole Johnson has written 3 articles about "stepping into the ring." Here is the website: http://www.freshbrewedlife.com/cd_40.aspx.

I was in tears and immediately thought of YOUR strength and YOUR faith.
Love, Kay Gates

June,

In reviewing the things I am thankful for You are on the list, high on the list actually. You have touched my life and through TIP have brought great meaning.

As I have been knitting other prayer shawls I keep yours in mind. I have prayed often for you. I actually have knitted and prayed my way through 7 prayers shawls over the course of five months. I have been praying much.

I pray for you the assurance of God's presence as you continue to travel on you journey. I pray for moments of deep connection with your family and friends. I pray for skilled surgeons on Dec 1. and leave all in the hands of God.

With deep admiration and love
Jerri
